gas price from each chain's public rpc (eth_gasPrice), token prices from coinbase. on base, optimism, unichain, scroll, arbitrum and robinhood chain the costs include the l1 data fee their own fee oracle quotes for a tx that size; linea's gas price already covers it. a swap is a typical ≈150k gas with ≈560 bytes of calldata.

where do the numbers come from?

each chain’s public rpc (eth_gasPrice) and coinbase for token prices, refreshed every 15 seconds.

why is a rollup cheaper here than in my wallet?

rollups like base, optimism and arbitrum also charge for posting your tx to ethereum (the l1 data fee). eth_gasPrice only covers the l2 execution part.
