read contract

any contract on 13 chains: finds the verified abi and reads every view function.

contract addressthe chain is found for you
try

paste a contract address, or tap an example. it finds the chain and the verified abi, then reads every view function.

about this tool

Paste a contract address and read it like an explorer’s read tab, without picking the chain: it finds which of 13 EVM chains has the code, fetches the verified ABI from Sourcify or Blockscout and follows EIP-1967, beacon and clone proxies to the implementation. Every zero-argument view function is read in one multicall, functions with arguments get typed inputs, and unverified contracts work with a pasted ABI or an ERC-20, ERC-721 or Ownable preset.

good to know

where does the abi come from?

sourcify first, then the chain’s blockscout explorer (ethereum, base, arbitrum, optimism, polygon, unichain, robinhood chain). if the contract is a proxy, the implementation’s abi is fetched too and merged, so you see the real functions. not verified anywhere? paste the abi (json or one signature per line) or start from the erc-20, erc-721 or ownable preset.

why does a read show an error?

the call reverted or returned nothing. a decoded revert reason or custom error is shown when there is one. "returned no data" usually means the function isn’t on this contract: an abi for a different contract, or an admin-only function on a transparent proxy.

can i call write functions here?

writes change state, so they have to be signed and sent from a wallet. each one is listed with its signature and selector, and "encode the calldata" opens it in the abi encoder, ready to send from your wallet, a safe or cast.
